CITTA MALL REDEVELOPMENT
2014, 750,000sf
Client: Juta Asia
Scope: Design Concept & Feasibility Study
Situated at one of the prominent locations in Petaling Jaya, the existing mall seems to be under utilised. Its frontage is less engaged with the main street, separated by a deep opened car parking area.
The redevelopment proposal was intended to revitalise the current situation by enriching the development ingredients such as adding more ‘live/work’ elements. The new proposal features an expanded retail space fronting the main road, with 3-dimensional facade comprising multiple transparent, glazed and volumetric external shop-fronts that eye-catch people’s attention; pedestrian-friendly common spaces at the internal court to create more points of convergence and grandeur; and two Service Residence towers that come with Sky Cubes featuring the elevated green garden pockets.
